Sometime after the fall of Olympus, the gods have all but vanished from the earth. In this power vacuum, men grow bold. An oppressive empire begins to form and spread across the land, burning, pillaging and murdering as they go. The callousness and cruelty of the new Empire is not without consequence, however. When imperial soldiers attack a small farmstead, a new enemy is created. A young man and his two sisters manage to escape this attack at great cost and vow revenge against those who wronged them.

Warlord is a text-heavy visual novel. You play as a male farm-boy with an inner-darkness: Preceding the attack on your farmstead, you were mortally wounded. To save your life, your sisters brought you to a witch who performed a bonding ritual between you and a succubus spirit. The spirit makes you capable of using abilities associated both chaos and lust. Choosing to use these abilities changes your outlook and enables and limits future choices in the game. Choose your affinities wisely.

Hybrid-graphics Approach

Warlord focuses heavily on the intimate/dramatic moments of the game with high-quality animations. Scenic, stylized images and animated images are used in between where most of the story unfolds.

Game Routes:

There are three game routes that depend on choices you make throughout the game.  The primary mechanics involve lust energy and chaos energy corruption.  Different choices and scenes are opened depending on the dominant energy corruption.  Not having enough combined corruption will also disable certain scenes or interactions.

Lust-focus:

You choose the path of love.

• Have more lust than chaos
• Opens up different options and scenes
• Some scenes and interactions will be unavailable in this route

Choas-focus:

Revenge is your primary goal.

• Have more chaos than lust
• Dark path. Not for the faint of heart.
• Opens up different options and scenes
• Some scenes and interactions will be unavailable in this route

Lust + Chaos:

This is a special mode that is more balanced focused.

• Maintain an equal balance between lust and chaos corruption
• Different variations of scenes are available in this route.
• Very Dark path and interactions.
