Let's start by saying that "Love & Sex: 2nd Base" is a massive game. It contains an astounding amount of content: According to Steam statistics, some players have clocked close to 500 in-game hours as the game is so big. And yet, the sheer amount of content was not the main reason the game was selected as the Spicy Game of the Month. The game's level of quality was

The Story of Love, Sex & 2nd Base

The MC moves into an apartment with two attractive roommates at the beginning of the story. You must find employment, hobbies, and, with any luck, romance and sex. Since this is an adult dating simulator, you will need to work hard and be charismatic in order to advance to well second base. Fortunately, there will be lots of chances to do this with lots of different girls.

The story is extremely complex because it adapts to your decisions and playing style. Are you going to act out toward being a "Chad", or do you have a specific girl in mind that you want to date, marry, and perhaps even have a child with? Yes, "Love & Sex: 2nd Base" does bring up pregnancy and even raising a family. You will be the one to make the decisions, and many of them will come your way. All I can say is that the non-linearity, the progression's freedom, and the way it's all done are just astounding.

I wonder how the hell the developer keeps track of all of the connections (something we will talk about in the interview)

As you might have guessed, there will be a ton of events, seasons, dates, and other things happening throughout the game. It never gets boring, that much is certain.

The writing is excellent, and the narrative flows beautifully, but the most impressive part is the sheer amount of it! The whole game contains more than 1.8 Million words! Yes Million. Just to put that in perspective, that is more than three times the length of the Lord Of the Rings Saga. Mindblowing.

Oh, and yeah, you can actually get eaten by a bear.

The Gameplay

One thing is sure: "Love & Sex: 2nd Base" was built as one of the most ambitious adult games out there. The game has a map, a day/night (and even season) system, and plays like a sandbox game. You can interact with others using your phone, ask girls out on dates, work jobs to make money to buy presents and clothes, and more. (BTW, there are like 250+ activities in the game.) You can alter the girls in various ways to suit your preferences (pierced nipples, anyone?). Because we aren't really used to playing that kind of adult game, the freedom of choice can be a little overwhelming at first, but the perfect Hint system keeps the game moving and keeps us from getting stuck, so everything flows smoothly. And once you start playing, you will keep coming back. It's addictive.

As with all of the games from Andrealphus, the game is polished, it runs perfectly, and it gives off an AAA vibe as soon as you start it.

The Visuals and Sound

"Love & Sex: 2nd Base" is a hand drawn marvel. The artwork is stunning and very distinctive. The game's world was meticulously planned and illustrated, with small details popping up all over the place to give it personality. All of the characters—especially the girls—are incredibly drawn, and they all have unique personalities and backstories that breathe life into them. If that's not enough, you can even go as far as to alter the appearance of the girls with clothing and even breast augmentations. Think goth girls, Milfs, fancy blondes—you name it. There really are not a lot of adult games out there that would be on that level of execution when it comes to art alone, and I have not even mentioned the voice acting.

One aspect that propels this game to the top of my list of all-time favorites is the voice acting. I enjoy playing adult games that are audio-focused. Some of the best voice actors are voicing the characters, and the voice acting is brilliant. In "Love & Sex: 2nd Base" there are currently more than 14k voiced lines, which undoubtedly sets a record. But it all ends up paying off, particularly during the sex scenes. Eroticism with voiced lines is just on the next level. The game must be played with the sound on! But unless you want to "impress" your neighbors, I advise using headrests.

Sex Scenes in "Love & Sex: 2nd Base"

When it comes to sex, there is plenty of it in the game. As with the rest of the game, the action will depend on your choices; you can do it vanilla style or go the kinky route. More than 20 girls are available, and some of them even don't mind sharing you with others. The scenes are beautifully drawn, and the voicing just adds a special touch. What's amazing about this game, though, is that sex actually has consequences for the plot and isn't just used as filler to make an adult game. And yes, there is such a thing as "pregnancy sex".
