College Craze by Pretty Ink is an exceptional adult visual novel game that is unique in various of ways and all of them in a good sense. There are only a handful of developers that had the courage to take an unfamiliar path when it comes to adult games and not set for the usual just bang everything that walks approach. Instead we are handed a female protagonist game with an engaging story, full of romance and sex.

Collage Craze is an adult dating sim and a life simulator game. It has a branching story with multiple outcomes.

Story is set in Sugerdale, a college town where you will be playing a female freshman, set to get the most out of school and aching to experience the true college life.

Choices do matter in College Craze and you will be able to choose between the various activities, from studying, partying or working. All while getting yourself into some spicy situations with a various set of different characters.

A lewd game from the female perspective

Even though there are some female protagonist games, most of them are still based mostly on the porn side of things, where the female MC is there to be taken advantage of (sexual assault is common in female protagonist games)  or is portrayed as a sex nymphomaniac or even a bimbo type of a girl where the huge boobs are the main asset she has. Yes we see the "nympho" part in male protagonist games as well but there still seems to be way more story based games where a male MC also has a character, has relationships with other characters and yes even some deeper meaning behind the sex.

College Craze changes that. It has the story and the relationship part but also puts a woman perspective on everything. And yes, it's very good at it.

Uniquely Diverse

Art style is original and it's all done mainly by hand. To add to the uniqueness you can actually select the appearance of the female protagonist, you can choose her race, hair style and the hair color. The diversity approach doesn't stop there, Pretty ink really included a lot of different characters with different backgrounds, age, race, body types but in a refreshing way that adds to the story and the game and is not forced just for the diversity sake. It also makes the game and the story more believable and gives it additional depth.

Masterfully written

The game has a massive amount of written text and the branching story takes a lot of effort to keep up and if that is not enough Pretty Ink also set out to create a diverse cast of characters each with it's own background story and different traits. Sex Dialog is off the chart! It's intense and adds to the scenes. Sometimes you don't even need art to feel and see the scene just from the descriptions themselves. Conversations are done in a natural and believable way and are there to add more to the story. This could easily be a book.

A choose your Story VN

College Craze has different outcomes so several replays are encouraged. The choices you make do matter as they will lead to how the main character will behave. There is an option to corrupt or to play nice, you take charge of what relationships you want to purse and what and who is on your "to-do" list.

It's worth mentioning that the game is voiced which again is a great addition to the overall quality. The music adds to the atmosphere as well.

What Pretty Ink managed to accomplish is to deliver an adult game with an original story, full of romance, from the perspective of a young woman who is here to tell us a beautifully written story.
